[the first family]

obama is president and all the world is good and wholesome again. i sat in the living room with my parents and lil' sisters and cried and clapped and was overwhelmed with joy while the numbers climbed, the people all over the nation celebrated, and the crowds of folks in grant park waited eagerly for him to come on stage and deliver his acceptance speech.
midnight last night i could hardly sleep. i prayed for obama and his family, lord i hope that they arent harmed in any way when he becomes president, and i hope that no dumbass is stupid enough to try something during the rally. *can i say dumbass in a prayer, i did. He knows i swear, hello, He knows everything, duh*
0718 my mom & lil sisters & i took a walk down the block. i rocked my vote in a cafeteria that i havent been in for over 15yrs. our lady of pompei was the place to be this morning. i loved seeing the familiar faces out to vote at the crack of dawn. i was surprised to see some neighborhood folks hitting the polls, and maybe im a bit rude to think that they have no clue about politics and im rude to assume they'll swing whatever way the wind blows, but either way, they were out and about exercising their rights.
0800 i returned back to my apt to nap. woke up at about 1100 and chatted with jill. got back to my house-house after going to the new fave mall w robs, animal crossed for a bit, and napped again. gotta take advantage of off days!
about 1715 i woke up to make Obama Spaghetti w bratwurst. Everyone was making election celebration foods like democratic deviled eggs, or yes pecan pies, so hey, aint nothing wrong with pasta for obama. my fam and i flipped through all of the networks for the next few hours. politicking with the pamilya is oh so much fun. then...when the time came to make the announcement that all the world was waiting for...fireworks went off literally, figuratively, emotionally, all of the above. just hearing him speak makes me proud to be american again. this will definitely be a government of the people, by the people, and for the people! obama always says, "we, us and our." i love him, im so glad he won. this is for us now, and us in the future, for our children and our children's children. we are the ones we've been waiting for. and lord knows its not the first time we've heard that quote before. amen, amen, amen.
it truly makes you feel like you can do anything, be anything, accomplish anything! [exhale]
YES WE CAN! and OH YES WE DID!
